Senior Microsoft Consultant Client/Industry: Various (Mining, Resource or Gov) Type: Perm Start: ASAP
• Advanced certification in one technology stack (two is desirable)
• Certifications and/or technical assessments required to deliver relevant Microsoft Software Assurance
Planning Services engagements
• TOGAF 9 Certified
• People management training
• Project management fundamentals training or equivalent industry experience
• Industry certification example:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
• Develop Current State Assessment artefacts which document baseline architecture and identify any risks,
issues and dependencies that require mitigation or action in order to successfully transition from current
state to a transition or target state
• Lead activities (including workshops and interviews) to elicit technical requirements for target state physical
architecture, and support Business Analyst in developing Business Requirements Specification
• Support Solution Architect in developing a High Level Design which specifies the logical architecture to be
used to achieve the business requirements
• Develop Detailed Design artefacts which:
• Specify target state physical architecture of solution components
• Document design decisions required to satisfy approved technical requirements
• Ensure design decisions are traceable to approved technical requirements
• Align to logical architecture documented in High Level Design
• Develop unit and integration test cases to validate that technologies have been implemented in accordance
with approved Detailed Design
• Develop Implementation Plan artefacts which document how the target state physical architecture will be
delivered
• Support Project Manager by:
• Providing technical leadership to project resources who implement and test components of target state
physical architecture, including providing feedback on technical performance to relevant line managers
• Assuring quality of technical implementation deliverables, from the Build phase onwards
• Monitoring technical aspects of project scope, and escalating issues if required
• Participate in presales activities, including client meetings, proposal preparation, tender response and
presentations
• Stay abreast of emerging products and features within technical specialism, facilitate knowledge sharing with
colleagues, and embed within future projects where relevant
• Demonstrate commitment to a high level of customer service delivery
• Adhere to the Risk Management Policy, Framework and Processes
• Identify and manage risk within day to day operations, including being involved in risk workshops when
requested
• Escalating risks to management they cannot be managed within delegated authority
• Fulfilling the responsibilities of Risk Owner, Control Owner and/or Treatment Owner as required
• Maintain awareness of the Risk Management Policy and subsidiary artefacts, and seek guidance for their
application.
• Contribute to the Quality Management System
• Update information and documentation to ensure current published versions are accurate.
• Identify and inform line manager of opportunities for ongoing improvement of team processes and
procedures
• Identify and inform line manager of non-conformances to team processes and procedures
• Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant policies, processes, procedures, standards and
guidelines
• Contribute to ISMS as per responsibilities of this role. Security. Note: All roles have End User
responsibilities, as a minimum.
