About the Role
Join our client’s team as a Gas Service / Mains Layer, working on impactful infrastructure projects across Perth’s Metropolitan Area. In this role, you’ll install and maintain gas mains and services on the ATCO Gas Network, contributing to the safe and reliable delivery of gas to communities. Full training is provided in partnership with ATCO.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain mains and services on the ATCO Gas Network to the highest safety and quality standards
- Interpret technical documents /drawings and BYDA plans
- Perform underground utility locating, excavation, Gas Service/ Main installations and compaction.
- Plan and execute daily tasks proactively to meet project deadlines
- Lead or collaborate within a team to achieve project goals
- Embrace continuous learning to enhance your skills and expertise
- Pass an industry-standard pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
Essential Requirements
- Experience as a Mains Layer/Pipelayer with ATCO Gas Network or other relevant experience
- Current Manual Driver’s License (MR or higher preferred)
- White Card
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Valid ATCO Gas Network accreditations (e.g., SL1, SL2, ML1, ML2 – partial or full)
- Butt Fusion and Electrofusion PE Welding Tickets
- Excavator Ticket
- First Aid and CPR
- Basic Traffic Management
