Experience and responsibilities:

• Development of scopes of work and specifications for construction, design, and cost estimates
• Competent in providing Key technical expertise across a range of high-profile projects.
• Applying engineering principles to comply with the scope of works and technical criteria.
• Highly skilled in applying safety in design practices and processes.
• Actively and positively liaising with project teams

Qualifications and requirements:

• Tertiary Engineering qualification
• Experience in a consultancy environment
• Ability to work within a multi-discipline team.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to deliver engineering projects end to end in a timely manner and within budget
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly experienced in applying QA and OH&S Systems
• Proficient in relevant engineering programs and drafting software.

The Project Manager will:

• Plan, organise, and manage resources ensuring they are used effectively, efficiently, and safely
• Manage work in accordance with contract requirements and work schedules
• Develop and promote good communication between all levels of site and office personnel
• Enforce compliance with Company and Client policies and procedures
• Authorise purchases and other expenditures in accordance with financial delegations
• Monitor and control budget and time frames in liaison with the Finance
• Maintain discipline within the workforce
• Coordinate work groups so work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with work plans/schedules
• Monitor and maintain a safe working environment for employees
• Develop, maintain, and enhance good working relationships with the Client, other Contractors, and the Community
• Manage QA/QC, claims, programming, permits, and reporting

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualification in engineering, construction, and management or similar
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Current "C" class driver’s license
• White/blue card
• Section 44
• Fire extinguisher certificate
• 4WD certificate
• At least 10 years of civil/construction experience working for a Contractor
• Extensive project management experience
• Experience in managing the scope of work involving Infrastructure construction, road maintenance, and bulk earthworks
• Experience managing QA/QC, claims, programming, permits, and reporting
• Experience delivering independent packages
• Experience supporting Supervisors and Operators in the field
• Strong safety focus
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills

Civil Supervisor Pilbara

Benang is currently seeking interest from experienced Project Managers to join some of our regional Mining & Resources Infrastructure Projects in 2023.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understanding project requirements and lead the team to achieve production, cost, quality targets
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures
• Coordinate and supervise employee, subcontractors and plant and equipment
• Maintain daily records to ensure resources on site are tracked and monitored
• Provide guidance and support to project staff

Key requirements for this role:

• 5+ years of experience in a Supervisory capacity
• Strong background in Underground Services and Civil construction projects. 
• Certificate IV in Supervision *desirable*
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Current C Class driver’s license
• WA White Construction Card

• Developing and monitoring KPI and productivity analysis against program and budget
• Applying engineering principles to comply with the scope of works and technical criteria (SWTC)
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.
• Actively and positively liaising with project teams including sub-contractors & suppliers
• Coordinate construction elements for the designated work area

Key requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Project Engineering Capacity
• Strong background in Mining & Resources and or Construction Projects
• Tertiary Qualification in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
