About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced and self-driven Bookkeeper to join our expanding team. This is a permanent role and a fantastic opportunity to grow with our business and become an integral part of the company.
About you:
- Experience with Xero data entry.
- Motivated and self-driven.
- Exceptional accuracy and high attention to detail.
- Clear understand of Cashflow Management and Financial Reporting.
- Experience and understanding in accounts payable and receivables.
- Timesheet entry intro payroll system.
- Reconciliation and assisting in month end.
- Supporting BAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation, Child Support Services, Portable Long Service Leave.
- Credit account setup and management.
- Management of insurance accounts and claims.
- Onboarding of new staff.
Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate IV or higher in Accounting/Bookkeeping.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or office administration role, ideally in the engineering, construction industries.
- Proficient in XERO and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax, BAS, superannuation, payroll tax, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll systems and processing (including timesheets, superannuation, and leave management).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify issues and find practical solutions to financial and administrative challenges.
- An initiative-taking, can-do attitude with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
