About the Role
We are expanding our client’s power team to meet growing demand and are looking for experienced Horizontal Directional Drillers (HDD) to join the crew. In this role, you'll operate state-of-the-art HDD equipment and play a key role in delivering critical electrical infrastructure projects to Western Power standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate HDD rigs (JT32, JT20, JT9) and Digitrak Falcon systems
- Lead a drill team and execute bore path planning
- Set up drills and mix drill mud
- Install electrical infrastructure in line with Western Power standards
- Operate vacuum trucks and read BYDA plans
- Complete all relevant construction documentation (e.g., JHAs, dig permits, pre-starts, bore logs)
Essential Requirements
- Truck Licence (MR to HC)
- Construction White Card
- First Aid Certificate with CPR
- Western Power Cable Laying Ticket (highly regarded)
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Cert III in Trenchless Technology or Civil Construction
- Excavator Ticket, Quick Cut Saw, and other relevant plant tickets
- Traffic Management – BWTM/TC
- Western Power specific inductions and qualifications (e.g., substation entry, RIC, cable laying)

Location
Our main depot is in Bibra Lake, with long-term HDD projects north of the river. Opportunities are also available for candidates based south of the river.
