Job Purpose
The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Excellence in organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are crucial for this role, which involves coordinating with other team members and ensuring that financial practices are followed and align with the stated regulations and company policies.

 

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Participate in regular tax audits and payroll.
• Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.
• Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
• Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives.

 

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
